About us
Who we are
FlowParent was created by Fabian and his partner — parents themselves of a daughter (born 2022) and a son (born 2026). From personal experience, we know that family life needs fresh impulses and practical support: to pause, reflect, and consciously shape everyday life together. With this app, we want to help families experience their daily routines more mindfully and build a stable foundation.
Why the app exists
The idea was born when Fabian listened to a podcast about parenthood and exhaustion. Inspired by it, we set out to create a digital tool that offers accessible support for families and is truly usable in everyday life. With the help of modern AI technology, personalized recommendations can be delivered directly in the app — more easily than we initially expected. Our hope: the app contributes to a better quality of life for families, provides guidance in challenging situations, and creates transparency in the moments that matter most.
How we use AI
FlowParent was built with a lot of help from AI, and we are open about it.
Why AI?
There is a family behind FlowParent. Only with AI can we build the app, keep developing it and offer it in nine languages.
Which tools?
- In the app: suggestions, calendar analysis and translations are created by Claude, an AI model by Anthropic.
- For building: Claude Code, the AI coding assistant by Anthropic.
- On the website: texts created with AI. The screenshots show the real app with invented families.
How do we work?
We set the approach, the content and the limits. The AI does the groundwork; we review and decide. Automated tests, regular quality checks of the suggestions with invented families and security checks accompany every change.
How much is AI?
A lot: the code, the texts and the translations were created with AI. The suggestions in the app are generated by the AI for you in the moment.
What comes from us?
The idea and the concept, drawn from our own family life. The attitude behind it: relieve rather than push, invent nothing, promise nothing. The decision about which features exist and how they should feel. Design and brand, developed in dialogue with AI. And finally the review, approval and responsibility for everything in the app and on the website.
Our aim
A service that is built heavily with AI – and that is open about it for exactly that reason.
